Scrum Templates

The Village Retrospective Game

Whether you’re looking to master skills, learn new frameworks, manage a team, or become better at collaborating with others, our templates should assist you on this journey. Here you can find some templates that we have designed that you can use in your Sprints to improve team communication and productivity.

By playing these simple games together, your teams may learn more about teamwork, collaboration, iterative work, forecasting, retrospectives, empirical process control, diversity and team member inclusion. In our game templates we explore various Scrum concepts such as team formation, continuous improvement, experimenting, inspect and adapt, and trust. Best of all, we encourage co-workers to learn together and enjoy the process.

The Wild West Retrospective Game

I am ready to help Scrum Valley grow! Let’s work together today to plant the seeds that will blossom tomorrow!

It takes active people to help a community grow. We encourage participants to become a member of the fictional town of Scrum Valley. In this town, there are familiar characters, some that help it to grow and others that prevent it from doing so. Townspeople are encouraged to share their thoughts and insights from the latest Sprint to give Scrum Valley a better tomorrow. Your job is to help Scrum Valley reach its goals by promoting what works and ending what does not.

Daily Scrum Football

As we know, the Daily Scrum Standup has traditionally been made up of the questions:

  • What did you do yesterday?

  • What are you doing today?

  • What if anything is blocking you from your progress?

  • This game recenters the Daily Scrum around the questions:

  • What is keeping you from our Sprint Goal?

  • Is there something that you can improve to deliver our Sprint Goal?

This will refocus the Daily Scrum around a game of football to identify how the team can improve on delivering their Sprint Goal. It also centres the developers by asking specifically what they are contributing to reach the Sprint Goals and allows them to identify obstacles in their way.

The Dog Park Retrospective

Welcome to The Dog Park Retrospective!

The best dog parks are places where people meet, and dogs play freely.

The Dog Park is a place to play, relax and spend time with your best friends, old and new. In this dog park, we find furry friends that will give your team the freedom to share their thoughts, ideas, and insights about the latest Sprint.

We encourage your team to engage in productive reflection as they work together to reach their fullest potential and eliminate barriers to success.
